Oaxaca, 1999
On his first roll of photographs, Gerardo Nigenda described the different common environments where he lived and worked: his house, the DIF Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Jorge Luis Borges Library—dedicated to that same purpose, the Manuel Álvarez Bravo Photography Center and a handful of situations in downtown Oaxaca.
These photographs characterize Nigenda based on his most immediate environments while revealing his exploration of what to do with a camera.
